A small lunch that we cobbled together out of stuff from the fridge. I'm still hungry though, even though I've already eaten an entire truffle pig. |

ha! we both gave him a hard time about what he called them, at the same time!
Whatever dude, that's what the label called 'em. And this was at the cheap, no-frills corner greengrocer, no less.

adjectives get the same plural treatment as nouns. so it would be "haricots verts".

i guess you're allowed to be wrong sometimes. i wish english speakers would adopt it. and gender assignment, which just tickles me.
Those truffle pigs are so good. Aren't you a fancy fancy couple with your elegant plating?
but of course! when you have too much time in the morning and not enough to do with it, you get fancy plating.
glad i didn't photograph our brunch which was prosciutto and melon with tartine, and then my gayass cheesetoast and soda chanh. you win!

that is awesome. my technique is pretty similar, though i hadn't used the cold water. that, and my eyes aren't mesmerizing blue orbs of enchantment.
