Being the last person in the country to get one, I finally acquired a region-free dvd player. This means I can finally watch my 4-and-a-half-hour director's cut German import of Until The End of the World. I figure it needs to be watched once every five years or so, right billetdoux? |

They are doing a Wenders retrospective at TWO cinemas here in London. I have managed to miss Wings of Desire, my most favorite of his films, TWICE. I am seriously irritated. Ah well.
Enjoy the many hours. You know I'd sit through it with you if I were in NYC.
I am unbelievably jealous! You'd think there'd be a Wenders retrospective here in NYC, too, wouldn't you?
And yes, of course I know you'd suffer through all five-ish hours with me!
Great, now I have Nick Cave crooning the chorus from the title song in my head.
Hope you pick a nice rainy or snowy day for the viewing.
Hey, could be worse songs stuck in your brain!
Would you want to be part of the viewing, whatever blustery night it is that it happens? | |
